At NextChamp, our community is built around a dedicated team of international and local coaches, many of whom have extensive experience on the WTA and ATP Tours. Combining deep expertise, strategic insight, and a passion for the game, our coaches provide world-class guidance and support. We are committed to helping players of all ages and skill levels reach their full potential and achieve their goals. We foster a culture of growth, resilience, and teamwork, with a strong focus on continuous improvement both on and off the court.

Olivier Grignard
Co-Founder & Tennis Director

Olivier Grignard is an experienced high-performance coach with a strong background in both junior and professional tennis. He has coached a former world No.1 junior, achieved multiple titles with ITF Junior players, and worked with several WTA athletes.

In China, he led the Liaoning Team to two bronze medals at the Chinese National Games, and served as the longtime coach of Lu Jiajing, guiding her from the beginning of her career to a career-high WTA ranking of 163.

Olivier has also participated in many Grand Slam events as a coach and brings his international experience, vision, and leadership to the NextChamp program

Lu Jiaxiang
Co-Founder & Tennis Director

Lu Jiaxiang is a former WTA professional player and co-founder of NextChamp. She reached a career-high WTA ranking of 531 in singles and 295 in doubles, winning 1 ITF Pro title in singles and 11 titles in doubles during her career.

After retiring from the tour, Lu transitioned into coaching and has guided many ITF Junior players to tournament victories, while also helping numerous young players win titles at the local and national level.

Her professional background, on-court experience, and passion for developing talent make her an essential leader within the NextChamp coaching team.

Simon Goffin
Director Team Pro

Simon Goffin is an internationally respected tennis coach with extensive experience on the ATP and WTA tours. He has coached Top 10 WTA players and has helped his players win multiple WTA titles.

Over the years, he has worked with top names such as Alizé Cornet, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Andrea Petkovic, and Elise Mertens, bringing deep tactical insight and elite tour-level experience to every training session.

As part of the NextChamp team, Simon brings world-class knowledge and a sharp competitive edge to our high-performance program.


Eddy
Head coach Team Pro

Eddy brings to NextChamp a wealth of experience and expertise. Over the years, he has coached numerous players on the ITF Junior, ATP, and WTA circuits, guiding them in their professional development. His career also includes valuable work with the French Tennis Federation (FFT) and the Alexander Waske Tennis University, both internationally respected institutions.

Passionate about tennis and biomechanics, Eddy is recognized for his rigorous approach and dedication. As a coach, he provides professional players with the structure, commitment, and guidance needed to unlock their full potential both on and off the court.


Jordan
Head coach Team Pro

6+ years of experience developing players from elite juniors to ATP/WTA level. Known for precision, structure, and results on the biggest stages.

In 2023, worked alongside Taylor Townsend on the WTA Tour and led Alycia Parks (career-high WTA #44), delivering performance at Grand Slams and top international events.

Former ATP professional (Singles #793, Doubles Top 1000) and college #1 at Davenport University, bringing real tour-level experience into every player’s development.


Diego
Head tennis coach

Diego is an Argentinian high-performance tennis coach and former national No.1, with strong international experience (USA, Europe, Latin America, China). Former college player at Florida National University (Miami), Diego later served there as coach and team manager, involved in training, recruiting, and program management.

Certified ITF & PTR, Diego specializes in technical development, tactical identity, and biomechanics, supporting junior, collegiate, and high-level players through a long-term performance pathway, integrating physical, mental, and career planning.


David
Head Fitness coach Team Pro

Coach David is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at NextChamp, where he leads the development of personalized fitness programs for our players. With extensive experience working with ITF junior, WTA, and ATP athletes, David has coached at top academies like Gemdale Shenzhen and Gemdale Nanjing International Tennis Academy, focusing on enhancing the performance of both national and international-level players.

David holds a Master’s degree in Sports Science, specializing in Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation, and certifications including Advanced Strength and Power (2024) and Certified Functional Strength Coach (2024). His expertise in fitness conditioning and tennis performance will be a key asset to our athletes at NextChamp.


Éric
Head coach - Tennis School

Born in France, Coach Eric is a certified coach by the French Tennis Federation (FFT) with many years of experience in youth and junior player development. As Head of the Tennis School at NextChamp, he leads programs that build strong foundations for young players, combining French training methodology with a passion for teaching .

Chen Yu
Head coach - Tennis School

Coach Chen Yu is an accomplished high-performance tennis coach with a strong international playing and collegiate background. She previously served as an NCAA Division II men’s and women’s team coach and brings valuable experience from both junior and professional competition. As a player, she reached the Top 400 in the ITF Junior World Rankings and the Top 1200 on the WTA Tour, earning recognition as a National First-Class Athlete. During her U.S. collegiate career, she achieved a Top 50 NCAA Division I singles ranking, competing on a team ranked No. 6 nationally. Her coaching and playing experience make her a strong asset for player development at every level. 

Gao
Head coach – Tennis School

Coach Gao is a passionate and experienced coach, certified by the Chinese Tennis Association (CTA). As Head Coach of the Tennis School at NextChamp, he specializes in mini tennis and the development of young players under 10 years old. With many years of experience, Coach Gao is dedicated to building strong technical and motor skill foundations in young athletes through fun, structured, and age-appropriate training.
